For the Travel Trade
Your Ground Partner in Turkey
A licensed Turkish travel agency working with luxury advisors in the United States, Canada and Australia. We handle the ground. You keep the client.
What does Off The Beaten Path do for travel advisors?
We are a destination management company in Istanbul and a licensed Turkish travel agency. We build and operate private itineraries in Turkey on behalf of advisors overseas, and we quote in net rates so you set your own margin and invoice your client yourself.
We handle the whole ground programme: licensed guides, private vehicles and drivers, airport meet-and-greet, hotels, domestic flights and advance tickets to the major monuments. Someone on our team is reachable 24 hours a day for as long as your clients are in the country. We are owner-operated, so the person who quotes your trip is the person who is answerable for it.
Most advisors come to us with the same problem. Turkey sells itself, but it is a long country to run from a desk in New York, Toronto or Sydney. Internal flights, hotels in five cities, licensed guides, museum ticketing and a client who expects all of it to feel effortless.
That is the part we do. We already work with agencies overseas, and the arrangement is always the same: you own the client and the selling price, and we are answerable for everything that happens between the arrivals hall and the departure gate.

Why Partner With Us
Built Around How Advisors Actually Work
Net rates
We quote net, in US dollars, with everything included listed in writing. You add your margin and bill your client. Your selling price is your business, and we never see it.
Reachable around the clock
While your clients are in Turkey you can reach a real person on our team at any hour, in English. Problems get solved here, on the ground, rather than waking you at three in the morning.
A licensed agency
We are a registered Turkish travel agency and a TURSAB member. That is what lets us hold hotels and domestic flights in our own name and buy advance monument tickets, and it is what your supplier file needs.
One person on the file
You brief one person and that person stays with the booking from the first quote to the final transfer. Whenever you write, you are writing to someone who already knows the file.
Scope
What We Handle on the Ground
You can hand us the entire ground programme, or only the parts you would rather not run yourself.
Licensed guides
Licensed, English-speaking guides in every city we operate. Spanish is available on request, subject to availability.
Vehicles and drivers
Private cars and drivers for smaller parties, and minibuses or coaches with additional guides for larger groups.
Airport meet-and-greet
A member of our team meets your clients at arrivals and stays with them through to the hotel.
Hotels
We book and hold hotels across Turkey in our own name as a licensed agency, and we can work to the standard your client expects.
Domestic flights
Internal Turkish flights booked and reconfirmed by us, timed around the rest of the itinerary.
Monument tickets
We buy tickets to the major monuments in advance. Turkish rules issue those advance tickets to registered agencies, which is what we are. To be clear with you and your client: Turkey has no skip-the-line or priority-entry product, and the mandatory security screening applies to every visitor.
Cruise port handling
Shore programmes at Galataport in Istanbul, and at Kusadasi and Canakkale, planned around the ship schedule.
Experiences
Hamam visits, private cooking classes, Ebru marbling workshops, whirling dervish ceremonies, Cappadocia balloon flights and private plane charter.
Coverage
Where We Operate
Istanbul
Our home city. The Old City monuments, the Bosphorus, the food neighbourhoods and both continents, plus cruise shore programmes at Galataport.
Cappadocia
Cave hotels, the valleys and underground cities, and sunrise balloon flights. Reached by domestic flight, which we book and reconfirm.
Ephesus and Kusadasi
The marble streets of Ephesus for land itineraries and for cruise calls at Kusadasi.
Pamukkale
The white travertine terraces and Hierapolis, usually combined with Ephesus on a westbound routing.
Gallipoli and Troy
The WWI memorials and cemeteries, handled with the care they deserve, and Troy nearby. Also served from the port at Canakkale.
Multi-city journeys
Most of our advisor bookings combine several of the above into one journey, with the flights and transfers between them arranged as a single programme. See our Turkey trips.
Our Commitment
Your Client Stays Your Client
This is the part advisors ask about first, so we will be direct about it.
When you send us a booking, those travellers are yours. We do not add them to our mailing list, we do not quote them directly, and we do not put our own booking links in front of them while they are with us. If they want to come back to Turkey, they come back through you. We would rather have one advisor who sends us work every season than one client we took once.
We will also be straight with you about pricing, because you can check it yourself in about a minute. Our signature Istanbul tours are sold directly on this site at a published price. Your net rate sits below that price, so you have room for a margin and your client is not going to find a cheaper number by searching us. For multi-day journeys and bespoke itineraries there is no public price at all, because every one of them is quoted from scratch.
| We handle in Turkey | Stays entirely yours |

Working Together
How It Works
- 01
Send us the brief
Dates, party size, the standard of hotel your client expects, and what matters most to them. A short email is enough to start.
- 02
We reply with a net proposal
A day-by-day itinerary and a net price in US dollars, usually within one business day. Everything included is listed in writing.
- 03
You set your margin
You add your own mark-up, present the trip to your client and invoice them yourself. We do not see or set your selling price.
- 04
We operate the trip
We run every day on the ground and stay reachable throughout, so you are not fielding questions from another time zone.

Trade Questions
What Advisors Ask Us
Do you work on net rates or commission?
We work on net rates. We quote you a confidential net price for the ground arrangements, you add your own margin, and you invoice your client directly. This keeps your selling price and your client relationship entirely in your hands.
Are you a licensed travel agency in Turkey?
Yes. Off The Beaten Path is a fully licensed Turkish travel agency and a member of TURSAB, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies. That licence is what allows us to book hotels and domestic flights in our own name and to buy advance tickets to the major monuments. Our licence number is shown in the footer of this site and we are happy to provide documentation for your supplier file.
How quickly do you respond to a quote request?
We reply to trade enquiries within one business day, and usually the same day. If you are working to a deadline with a client on the phone, tell us in your first message and we will prioritise it.
What happens if something goes wrong while my clients are in Turkey?
You can reach a member of our team 24 hours a day for the whole time your clients are in the country. A flight moves, a client feels unwell, plans change on the morning: we deal with it on the ground and keep you informed, rather than leaving you to solve it from another continent.
Can you handle groups larger than a private car?
Yes. We operate minibuses and coaches with additional licensed guides for larger parties, and we can split a group across vehicles where the itinerary calls for it. Tell us the numbers and we will confirm what is workable.
Which parts of Turkey do you cover?
We are based in Istanbul and operate across the country: Cappadocia, Ephesus and Kusadasi, Pamukkale, and Gallipoli and Troy. We also handle cruise shore programmes at Galataport, Kusadasi and Canakkale. If your client wants somewhere we have not listed, ask us and we will tell you honestly whether we can do it well.
Will you contact my clients directly after the trip?
No. Your clients are yours. We do not market to them afterwards, we do not quote them directly, and we do not hand them our own booking links while they are travelling. If they want to return to Turkey, they come back to you.
How are trade bookings paid?
We accept bank transfer and credit card. Card payments may carry an additional card fee, so please ask in advance. Payment terms for regular trade partners are agreed in writing when we set up your account.
What do you need from us to prepare a quote?
Four things are usually enough to start: the travel dates, the party size, the standard of hotel your client expects, and what matters most to them. Tell us anything already booked, such as international flights or a cruise call, and we will build the ground programme around it. A short email is enough; we will come back with questions if we need them.
Do you provide a net rate sheet?
Yes. We can send net rates for our signature Istanbul tours, which is what most advisors want on file so they can quote quickly. Multi-day Turkey journeys are priced individually rather than from a sheet, because the hotels, the routing and the internal flights change the cost every time. Ask for the rate sheet through the form on this page and we will send it with our terms.
Can you take on a booking where the hotels are already confirmed?
Yes. You can hand us the whole ground programme or only the parts you would rather not run yourself. If your client has already booked their hotels, we will build the guiding, transfers and monument tickets around those bookings and leave the accommodation with you.
We have not sent clients to Turkey before. Where do we start?
Send us the dates and party size of a trip you are working on now, even a speculative one. We will reply with a draft itinerary and a net price so you can see how we write a proposal and what the ground actually costs, before you commit anything. There is no sign-up process and no minimum volume.
